Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Joe cofounded Carnegie Communications and launched Private Colleges & Universities magazine in 1985. Over the next 15 years, through his leadership, Carnegie continued to offer innovative marketing services, including new publications; one of the first websites for college-bound students, CollegeXpress; and a full-service marketing agency offering research, consulting, and creative services.
When Private Colleges & Universities was acquired by Alloy Media + Marketing in 2001, Joe became part of Alloy's senior management team. At that time Alloy had no education-focused services, but through organic growth and acquisitions, Joe built Alloy Education into the leading data, publishing, consulting, and marketing firm within higher education. Joe experienced the proverbial “full circle” when he acquired Carnegie in 2013.
With 30 years of experience in higher education publishing and marketing, Joe has developed innovative businesses that have partnered with over 1,000 colleges, assisting them in meeting their enrollment goals and helping millions of students select their college through Carnegie’s services.
Carnegie was the first higher education firm to offer digital services to colleges, and Joe’s mission is to keep the business on the forefront in developing response-driven recruitment solutions and marketing services. Carnegie has also donated over $1 million dollars in scholarships to needy students during Joe’s tenure.
When not in the office, Joe plays golf and tennis, likes to read, travels the New England roads on his bike, and loves being on or near the ocean as much as possible. He is a husband and father of four. A graduate of Wittenberg University, he lives in Groton, Massachusetts.
Meghan joined Carnegie in 2001 as a Regional Sales Director for Private Colleges & Universities. Two successful years and 100+ college campus visits later, she transitioned out of sales to manage the acquisition of the college data and publishing company Wintergreen Orchard House as its Director. Meghan was later promoted to Vice President and took over all of the company's publishing initiatives. While she continues to manage that division, her responsibilities have been expanded to include operations for all of Carnegie.
When not running budgets, selling data, introducing new products, or growing Carnegie's businesses, Meghan is actively involved with her alma mater, Southern New Hampshire University, as a member of the Alumni Board of Directors. She is an avid strategic reality show fan and Disney World enthusiast, and she loves spending time with her two beautiful daughters.
EVP, Client Solutions and Strategy
As Executive Vice President, Client Solutions and Strategy, Mark oversees the work Carnegie’s Regional Director team does to provide college and university clients with the solutions and services that will help them reach their goals.
His responsibilities involve driving the development and strategy of Carnegie’s integrated enrollment marketing solutions, including Lead Generation and Digital services.
Mark's background encompasses almost 20 years in recruitment services and marketing, and his expertise revolves around helping clients reach, engage, and convert the audiences that are most important to them.
When not in the office or on the road, Mark can often be found not playing well on a golf course or looking for any excuse to get near or out on the ocean. He lives in the western suburbs of Boston and spends most of his time enjoying everything New England has to offer with his family.
EVP, Digital Services
As Executive Vice President, Digital Services, Melissa works closely with all Regional Directors on digital marketing and recruitment programs for our clients. She truly enjoys collaborative partnerships and the challenge of creating just the right program to meet each school’s needs. She is involved from the initial meeting through the strategic planning of each account and oversees the implementation and execution of each digital project, including ongoing analysis and program evaluation.
Melissa’s love for the digital space began in 1997 as a co-founder of the original Teen.com. She was instrumental in the growth and success of the business and the evolution within the teen market. In 2000, Teen People magazine named Teen.com as a Top Teen Website. Her passion and understanding of this audience continues today. She has continually grown the Carnegie Digital Services group since starting in 2010 and is a regular presenter and speaker at various conferences, educating admission personnel about online strategies and best practices for integrating them with traditional enrollment methods.
With two daughters in college, Melissa has a great parent perspective on the college admission process and college life in general. Her passions include her Australian Shepherd (Roxy), the ocean, college football, spending time with great friends, and country music. She is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

As the Executive Vice President, Marketing and Digital Operations, Alexa works with university and college clients to build successful integrated direct marketing campaigns.
A seasoned veteran of the field, Alexa has worked in student-facing marketing for nearly 20 years. Having served as the Director of Marketing at a college, she has first-hand understanding of the challenges of student recruitment and creating marketing campaigns that deliver qualified leads. Her expertise includes direct mail, print, e-mail, and online marketing programs, and she knows just the right media mix to create an optimal student acquisition plan.
When Alexa isn’t reading marketing blogs, whitepapers, or crafting campaigns, she is running sideline with her two young sons and spending time with her family. A native Bostonian, she is a die-hard Red Sox fan but equally happy to cheer on the Badgers from her alma mater, the University of Wisconsin—Madison.
Ilya joined Carnegie in 2001. With 20 years of experience in custom software development, he is charged with leading an incredibly talented technology team to deliver unique solutions to support Carnegie product and service offerings.
Prior to Carnegie Ilya worked for large corporate industry leaders such as RWD Technologies, Thompson Media Group, and Blackboard Inc., as well as innovative start-ups like The Adrenaline Group.
In his spare time, Ilya enjoys cooking, running, practicing yoga, and spending time with his wife and two sons.
SVP, Client Solutions and Business Development

Jennifer has been an integral part of the Carnegie team since 2009. Coming from a background in elementary education, she decided to combine her passion for personal relationships with business studies and graduated with a BA in Applied Behavioral Sciences.
Jennifer is passionate about program strategy, integration, and exceeding client goals, and she works directly with schools throughout the Midwest. In addition to managing her territory, she is continuously working on developing business partnerships that will enhance Carnegie’s services and assure best practices for clients. Jennifer can often be seen presenting on Carnegie’s behalf at many regional and national conferences. Her position has allowed her to become well versed not only in Carnegie’s traditional recruitment efforts but also digital services, and transfer and international student outreach.
Jennifer is passionate about working in higher education marketing and believes in being a true consultant and trusted advisor for her clients. The importance of building a strong rapport with her clients is evident in the many friendships she has built and continued partnerships year after year.
VP, Digital Operations and Strategy
As Vice President, Digital Operations and Strategy, Vinny is responsible for understanding clients’ business goals and translating those goals into effective digital marketing strategies. He oversees all Digital operations, including Carnegie’s integrated paid search, social media advertising, and organic search product offerings.
Vinny has over 15 years of digital marketing experience across several verticals, including retail, nonprofit, medical, and higher education. In his previous role with Charles River Interactive, Vinny was responsible for managing the strategic direction of the entire Search Marketing Department, providing day-to-day leadership to a team of more than 20 experienced paid search/social, SEO, and analytics professionals. Before embarking in a career in digital advertising, Vinny was an Operations Manager for the financial research company Dalbar and a Technical Director for Walt Disney World’s Pleasure Island.
Originally from Queens, New York, Vinny currently lives in Shrewsbury with his wife and two kids. He spends most of his time watching his son row for the Saint John’s High School crew team and daughter play field hockey for Worcester County United and lacrosse for Shrewsbury. When he’s not on the field, Vinny likes to spend time working on his baseball memorabilia collection, rooting for the New York Yankees, and visiting Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
VP, Finance and Human Resources
As Vice President, Finance and Human Resources, Allison is responsible for all aspects of accounting, HR management, 401(k) administration, taxes, and insurances. She joined Carnegie Communications in 2013 as their first accounting manager.
Prior to Carnegie, Allison worked for 25 years in both the private and public sector. Her most recent position was in a school system as an accountant.
Allison has a BA in Business from Regis College and lives in Greater Boston. She serves as a volunteer financial coach for low-income women in the local area. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, weekend getaways, and spending time with her son and daughter.
Executive Director, Data and Analytics
As Carnegie's Executive Director of Data & Analytics, George is a strong believer in leveraging data and analytics to foster understanding and facilitate growth. He is involved with the strategic planning, execution, and implementation of integrated marketing solutions. Curious George likes to get involved wherever possible, especially if it involves data and marketing. He believes every day has an abundance of opportunities to be challenged by and learn from.
In his spare time, George likes to keep tabs on online trends and listen to music. When not online you can find him golfing, in multiple volleyball leagues and old guy lacrosse, and playing his guitar badly. A huge sports fan, he loves the Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics, and his UMass Lowell RiverHawks Hockey team. He also likes spending time with his wolfpack, his three knuckleheads (Avery, Rylee, and Zackary), and his beautiful, patient wife, Karen.

National Director, Client Solutions

As National Director of Client Solutions, Jim's primary responsibilities involve leading the team of Regional Directors to provide the best possible student recruitment solutions for Carnegie’s college and university clients. His goal is to ensure clients leverage the latest online and digital resources prospective students use in pursuit of their higher education goals. He helps clients optimize proven, successful traditional recruitment strategies for the digital age to ensure they reach prospective students and their advisors.
Jim’s background includes more than 10 years in recruitment services, and his expertise revolves around consulting clients toward the best position possible for attracting the audience that is most important to them. Outside the office Jim can often be found on the ball field or in the gymnasium coaching the baseball and basketball teams of his two sons. Jim is also involved in the School Committee of his town. When he gets a chance to play a round of golf, Jim prides himself on being the first group off the tee in the morning, generally waiting for the sun to show him the way.
Executive Director, Design
Erik joined Carnegie in 1996 as one of five original people working out of the newly established Westford, Massachusetts, office. Prior to moving north to New England, he worked as the Art Director at a design studio in New York City. There he first became involved in magazine and promotional design while working with clients like The New York Times, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Ziff-Davis Publishing, Science Diet, and Western Union.
As Carnegie's Executive Director of Design, Erik oversees the art direction of Carnegie’s print publications, including Private Colleges & Universities, Graduate Colleges & Universities, CollegeXpress, and Wintergreen Orchard House’s College Admissions Data Source Books. With his extensive design background, Erik provides oversight and art direction for many of Carnegie’s creative projects, including marketing materials and trade show booths and signage.
When not pushing the limits of the Adobe Creative Suite software, Erik volunteers as a javelin coach at the local high school. He also spends his spare time carving and painting realistic decorative fish. Erik lives in Westford with his wife, daughter, son, and rescue mutt, Baxter.
Executive Director, Production
Shannon’s favorite word is "efficiency," so it's no surprise that she oversees the workflow in the Production Department for the Private Colleges & Universities, Graduate Colleges & Universities, American Colleges & Universities, and Public Colleges & Universities magazines division. She takes delight in improving processes for Carnegie's printed platform components.
Her favorite parts of working at Carnegie are the freedom to be creative every day and, of course, being surrounded by so many remarkable people!
When Shannon is not behind her desk yelling out things like “It’s a deadline, people!” she is most likely paper-crafting, cooking, or watching movie marathons with her boyfriend and two dogs.
Jessica oversees virtually every word that appears in Carnegie's print and Web properties, including CollegeXpress.com and Private Colleges & Universities, Public Colleges & Universities, Graduate Colleges & Universities, American Colleges & Universities, and CollegeXpress magazines.
Her background encompasses journalism, publishing, and nonprofit marketing and development. Like many of her fellow Emerson College alumni, Jessica is a news junkie and bookworm.
AVP, Digital Client Solutions
As Associate Vice President of Digital Client Solutions, Angie specializes in strategizing the appropriate digital marketing tactics to help schools meet their unique enrollment and marketing goals. Specifically, Angie’s passion lies in helping schools enhance their digital presence via optimized website visibility, personalized content, and improved user experience. She loves uncovering which digital interactions most impact prospective student decisions and gaining a deeper understanding of advanced analytics and ROI.
Prior to joining Carnegie, Angie worked for Hearst, Entercom, and Bose, giving her experience in advertising account management, creative production, and Web analytics. Her experience and interest have brought innovative solutions to Carnegie’s clients since 2012. She loves that her job allows her to advance her own knowledge of the digital marketing space and share those insights with colleges, universities, and independent schools.
Angie is a graduate of Franklin Pierce University and resides in central Massachusetts with her husband and two kids. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, her book club (more of a wine club), and attempting to keep her plants alive.

Director, Data Licensing and Operations
Colene joined Carnegie Communications as a project manager in July 2000. In 2005, she transitioned over to Wintergreen Orchard House to oversee production of the college guidebooks and grow the data leasing business. Colene takes part in producing and distributing electronic admission surveys to colleges and universities throughout the United States. She also supervises Wintergreen's online college database to ensure high-quality, accurate information is used in the production of the college guidebooks and data leasing.
When not busy in the data collection world, Colene loves spending time with her always-bustling family. They keep her life exceptionally entertaining, even when running back and forth to soccer and basketball games, while trying to squeeze in frequent trips to PetSmart to pick up food for their menagerie. When she has a little time to herself (which is not very often), you can find Colene enjoying the outdoors by going for a run.
Director, Marketing and Student Engagement
As Director, Marketing and Student Engagement, Megan works with Regional Directors and clients on setting up customized e-mails used to reach inquiring students, ensuring best practices, and providing analytics into improvements for better engagement and response. Megan also manages all social media platforms for CollegeXpress.com, along with the site's Summer Program Search, collecting data and connecting programs to potential students.
Prior to joining the marketing team, Megan worked in the Wintergreen Orchard House division, collecting college and scholarship data and helping with production of their College Admission Data Sourcebooks. There, Megan finessed her editing and proofreading skills and had her first taste of working with data. As time progressed, her interest in e-mail, social media, and online marketing began to grow, and she was lucky to be able to move into the position she's in today.
Megan holds a BA in Communication from Merrimack College and an MA in Integrated Marketing Communications from Emerson College. When not writing research papers or studying for exams, you’ll find Megan reading up on new social media practices; spending time with her dog, Nigel; or hanging out in Boston taking in a comedy show.

Gary Allen Williams
VP, Special Projects
Gary brings over 40 years of enrollment marketing experience to Carnegie. His greatest strength is matching an institution—from small colleges to large universities—with the recruitment plan that will yield the greatest results. Gary’s position at Carnegie allows him to use his marketing expertise with colleges and universities across the country.
He has presented at national and regional enrollment conferences for undergraduate, transfer, and graduate associations (NACAC, NETA, NAGAP, NEGAP, and NYGAP). When not on the road, Gary enjoys playing golf, visiting his son in Philadelphia, and working with his wife, Nancy, in their yard.
Ken's father instilled in him respect for education. His Dad said he would work until he had whiskers as long as his arm if that's what it took to send him to college. Sure enough, Ken was his family's first college graduate, and it started a lifelong journey of sharing his passion for higher education.
Eighteen years of college admission work, interrupted by military service, provided Ken with a solid background of skills and understanding for marketing higher education. He has been with Carnegie since 1990, working with private and public colleges and universities in numerous states in the Midwest, Southwest, Southeast, and West.
Ken has made approximately 10 billion college visits and driven 500 light years during his tenure with Carnegie.
A healthy dose of family time balances his life, and other interests include church choir singing and an unflagging interest in sports and politics.
Director, Client Solutions

Tim came to Carnegie in 2011 after serving as an admission counselor at Anna Maria College. While at Anna Maria, Tim was part of a team that brought in the largest class in school history. As a Regional Director at Carnegie, Tim provides student recruitment solutions for his college and university clients, helping schools reach their target audience and enrollment goals through cutting-edge marketing strategies.
Tim is an Assumption College graduate who enjoys spending time with his wife, Lynne, and two sons, Dean and Frank. The Morrow clan resides in Central Massachusetts.
Senior Regional Director
Jenny joined Carnegie in 2004 as a Regional Sales Director. She has had the opportunity to see Carnegie grow over the years, as it consistently adds new services to keep in line with client needs and continue as an industry leader. Her partners are international colleges and universities as well as agencies.
Using both Carnegie’s digital strategies alongside more traditional print components of each platform, Jenny enjoys creating innovative marketing and student recruitment programs with her clients. They appreciate her communication and attention throughout projects.

Kevin came to Carnegie in 2013 after spending nearly 20 years at Monmouth University in both the undergraduate and graduate admission offices. His career in admission started as an undergraduate admission counselor, then Assistant Director and Associate Director. He was later promoted to Director of Graduate Admission, where he spent 14 years and helped guide his staff to bringing in the largest class in school history.
Kevin is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. Living at the beach on the Jersey Shore, Kevin can often be found relaxing on the beach, watching soccer or college basketball, and cheering on the New York Knicks or Dallas Cowboys.
He is a proud father of two. During his down time he can usually be found spending time with his granddaughter.

Eric joined Carnegie after spending six years leading marketing and communications efforts on university and college campuses. As Director of Recruitment and Communications at the University of Iowa, he helped recruit and enroll the largest, most diverse, and highest-achieving class in the history of the University. With expertise in traditional, digital, and social media marketing and experience designing integrated campaigns for a small private college and a large public university, Eric strives to help clients identify opportunities that will solve problems and produce results.
Eric has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin—River Falls and a master's degree in organizational leadership from St. Ambrose University. He lives in North Liberty, Iowa, with his wife, Molly, and their two small children and spends his spare time shuttling his kids to activities, cooking homemade pizza, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers.

Jaime joined Carnegie in 2015 after spending five years working in undergraduate admission. Her career started as an undergraduate admission counselor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where she specialized in international student recruitment and retention. Most recently, as a Campus Visit Experience Coordinator, she helped recruit and enroll a high-achieving class by designing and maintaining a captivating visit experience. Jaime is excited to use her higher education experience when helping clients identify the best ways to tackle enrollment challenges.
Jaime has a bachelor’s degree in business management from The Pennsylvania State University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Baltimore. She lives in “Charm City”—also known Baltimore—where she enjoys spending time with family (including her dog, Max!), eating Maryland crabs, and cheering on the Washington Capitals. Christine comes to Carnegie after working in higher education for 10 years and holding various positions in admission and enrollment communications. Most recently she was the Director of Enrollment Communication at University of the Sciences, where she managed marketing communications for undergraduate, transfer, and graduate prospective audiences. Christine is experienced in integrated communication strategies, Student Search, digital marketing solutions, social media, and CRM implementation. She got her start in admission at Gwynedd Mercy University as a Senior Admission Counselor and never looked back. Christine is excited to be a resource to her clients as they plan and meet their enrollment and marketing goals.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Christine attended Temple University (Go Owls!) and graduated with a degree in communications. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and enjoys great food, small music venues, and rec sports leagues.
Assistant Manager, Sales and Marketing
As Assistant Manager, Sales and Marketing, Marie serves as part of the sales team, creating proposals and contracts, managing PC&U client services, executing e-mail communications, and keeping an eye on Carnegie’s overall marketing presence.
Marie focuses on community college enrollment marketing and enjoys the impact she can have with the diverse geos, goals, programs, and audiences they offer. She also assists in supporting the sales team with various tasks such as reporting/analyzing, territory coverage, and partnering in sales opportunities for Carnegie services.
In her free time, Marie likes to keep busy by spending time with family and friends, going outdoors, traveling, and learning new things.
As Marketing Assistant, Molly supports Carnegie’s corporate and CollegeXpress marketing initiatives. She provides research to supplement content creation and give further insight into the college-bound market. She also manages daily press and affiliate outreach for CollegeXpress.
Prior to joining the marketing team, Molly interned for Feats, Inc., which is an event-planning firm for higher education located in Baltimore. There, Molly was introduced to the world of higher education and acquired the skills to do research, compile data, and facilitate relationships with new and ongoing clients. Over time her interest in marketing, social media, and higher education grew, and she was lucky to be able to move into the position she's in today.
Molly graduated from Towson University with a BS in Communication Studies and Mass Communication. When not working hard at her desk, you’ll find Molly singing, playing the piano, listening to and discovering new music, and going on adventures with friends around her new home in Boston.
Manager, Digital Services
As Manager, Digital Services, Tina works closely with all members of the Carnegie team. She primarily supports the Digital Services group and Regional Directors to enhance customer service for all clients. A “Jill of all Trades,” Tina wears many hats and is constantly managing multiple time-sensitive projects, including the development of proposals, conference planning, and overall department operations assistance.
Prior to Carnegie, Tina held various administrative and management roles, implementing new processes to enhance day-to-day operations.
An avid baker, Tina spends a lot of time in the kitchen whipping up creations for parties and special events. She enjoys spending time with her two amazing, active children and can be found at a hockey rink or music lessons any given day.
Kayla (Klein) Gaier
Director, Digital Strategy
As Director of Digital Strategy, Kayla works with clients to plan and implement comprehensive digital ad campaigns and achieve their goals with effective strategies, as well as research the ever-growing field of advertising technology. From the proposal and planning process to the implementation, optimization, and analysis, Kayla works with clients and Carnegie’s Digital team to ensure successful and valuable campaigns.
Prior to joining Carnegie Communications, Kayla worked at a digital consulting firm where she gained marketing experience in such areas as client and account management, advertising operations, and analyzing ad campaigns and Web statistics. She is passionate about working in higher education and supporting clients in their use of the growing digital industry to reach their targeted audiences and accomplish their goals.
Kayla is a graduate of Ithaca College and enjoys running, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with her Goldendoodle, Waffles.
Director, Digital Strategy
As Director, Digital Strategy, leading one of the paid marketing teams, Danielle works with clients to plan and implement comprehensive digital ad campaigns and achieve their goals with effective strategies, as well as research the ever-growing field of advertising technology. From the proposal and planning stages to implementation, optimization, and analysis, Danielle and her team ensure clients run successful and valuable campaigns.
Prior to joining Carnegie Communications in February of 2014, Danielle worked in the print, digital, and mobile industries. She brings with her more than 10 years of marketing and advertising experience, including campaign management, account management, channel development, and market research. She is passionate about working in higher education and supporting clients in their use of the growing digital industry to reach their targeted audiences and accomplish their goals.
Danielle holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Tampa and is both AdWords and Google Analytics certified. When Danielle isn’t helping put together media plans or reading industry news, she enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, visiting local farmers markets, and experimenting with new recipes.
Director, Digital Strategy
As a Director, Digital Strategy, Katie works with clients to plan and implement comprehensive digital ad campaigns and achieve their goals with effective strategies, as well as research the ever-growing field of advertising technology. From the proposal and planning process to the implementation, optimization, and analysis, Katie works with clients and Carnegie’s Digital team to ensure successful and valuable campaigns.
Prior to joining Carnegie Communications, Katie worked as the Search Marketing Manager for a large US retailer, where she developed and executed marketing strategies for paid search, and display and social advertising campaigns. Katie is passionate about the digital industry and excited to use her knowledge and experience to help clients in the higher education space reach their goals.
Katie graduated with a BA in Advertising Management from Michigan State University. In her free time, she loves running and taking barre classes, hiking around New England, baking, and spending time with friends, family, and her puppy, Kona.
Director, SEO and Digital Analytics
Grant joined Carnegie in 2015 as Director of SEO and Digital Analytics. In this role, Grant leads Carnegie’s efforts to offer client support, education, execution, reporting, and analysis of their digital marketing programs. A self-proclaimed tech geek, he has over 10 years of experience in data science, informatics, and digital analytics. Before joining Carnegie, he was the Manager of Digital Analytics at Johnson & Wales University, where he ensured the digital experience of the JWU community was captured and analyzed.
Before entering the world of higher education marketing, Grant combined his love for all things tech, science, and analytics to develop a highly publicized interactive learning platform that he used to teach high school chemistry at Cushing Academy.
Grant has a BS in Chemistry from St. Norbert College, a small liberal arts school in eastern Wisconsin; an MS in Computational Chemistry from Utah State; and a PhD in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the University of Wisconsin. He is married with four children under the age of 12, and he loves biking, the outdoors, and, most importantly, spending time with his family.
Senior SEO Strategist
As part of Carnegie’s Experience Marketing team, Rebecca works with clients to implement strategies that drive organic traffic and enhance on-site user experience. This includes writing optimized content for schools’ websites, making sure that content is visible to search engines, and assisting in creating personalized website interactions through Carnegie Clarity™.
Before entering the digital marketing realm, Rebecca was an adjunct professor of English at the University of Connecticut, where she taught first-year writing and got her students excited about her favorite genre—Gothic literature! Prior to that, she taught writing and multimodal communication at Iowa State University, where she had the pleasure of instructing and mentoring students from dozens of different countries. At Carnegie, she is able to combine her passions for both academia and writing.
Rebecca wishes every month was October and is slightly obsessed with Nathaniel Hawthorne (his works take up an entire shelf on her bookcase). She used to volunteer as a tour guide at The House of the Seven Gables in Salem before she moved out of Massachusetts. In her spare time, you can find her exploring historical sites, especially those along the Merrimack River and around the Millyard in Manchester, New Hampshire, where she lives in an old textile mill.

As a Senior Digital Advertising Specialist, Gabrielle develops digital media plans that support the goals of the colleges and universities she works with. With a focus on impactful and efficient digital outreach, Gabrielle creates and optimizes client campaigns while also finding creative ways to adapt strategies to better reach prospective students and ensure the most successful campaigns.
Prior to joining the Carnegie Communications team, Gabrielle was the New England Marketing Manager for a global real estate franchisor where she managed integrated marketing campaigns in support of franchise sales, development, and consumer-facing initiatives. With a background in traditional marketing, analytics, and design, Gabrielle brings diverse skills to the Carnegie team.
Gabrielle received her BS in Public Communication from the University of Vermont. In her free time, she loves being with her family and friends and exploring different parts of New England—the southern coast of Maine and Burlington, Vermont, are two of her favorites!
Senior Digital Advertising Specialist
As a Senior Digital Advertising Specialist, Erin works with new clients to build out all-inclusive digital advertising campaigns that complement their goals and objectives. She also works with existing client accounts to optimize and restructure their campaigns to improve performance.
Prior to joining the Digital team at Carnegie Communications, Erin managed paid search and digital advertising efforts for an e-commerce company in Rhode Island that specialized in over 7,000 products. She brings more than four years of digital advertising experience with her, including extensive campaign management across multiple product lines, account optimization, Retargeting efforts, and Google DoubleClick experience.
When Erin is not researching to uncover the latest digital advertising trends, she loves being outdoors, going hiking, attending concerts, shopping, and being with family. Erin is a Rhode Island native, Southern New Hampshire University alumna, and an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
Account Manager, Digital Services
As an Account Manager, Laura serves as the liaison between the client, Carnegie’s Digital team, Regional Directors, and vendors. Laura’s responsibilities include maintaining the ongoing flow of communication and coordinating/managing campaign timelines from planning to execution.
Prior to joining Carnegie Communications, Laura was an Assistant Account Executive at a public relations agency in Massachusetts where she planned and executed campaigns for clients in the health care industry. She is eager to further engage with the higher education community.
Laura received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Management from Bentley University. She is a New England native and in her free time loves being with her family and friends, exploring Boston, and attending as many country concerts as she can.

As an Account Manager, Chelsea acts as the liaison between the client, Digital team, and Regional Director, overseeing the ongoing communication flow and coordinating campaign timelines.
Prior to joining Carnegie, she worked at Cedar Crest College, located in Eastern Pennsylvania, as a Media Strategist. In her previous role, she managed marketing plans and strategy for the College, working regularly with Carnegie as one of their clients. Chelsea is excited to continue her career in higher education marketing, working closely with clients on their digital strategies and goals.
Chelsea graduated from Bloomsburg University with her BA in Marketing and Communication.

As an Account Manager, Anderson is the link between the client, Digital team, and Regional Director, playing an active role in the management/coordination of client projects from planning to completion.
Prior to joining Carnegie Communications, Anderson was an Account Executive at a marketing agency in Boston, where he planned, coordinated, and executed integrated marketing campaigns for a category-leading automotive brand.
Anderson has a BSBA in Marketing and Global Business from Suffolk University and brings well-rounded experience in marketing and project management to the Carnegie team.

As an Account Manager, Bevin serves as the liaison between Carnegie’s Digital team, Regional Directors, vendors, and, of course, clients. Maintaining the flow of communication, coordinating campaign timelines and execution, and overseeing special projects and digital tasks are just some of her many responsibilities.
Prior to joining Carnegie, Bevin served as Traffic Manager at an online marketing agency in Boston, where she worked with clients in the entertainment industry.
Bevin comes from a family of educators and is excited to be in the world of higher education. In her free time, you can find her singing and performing with her band around the New England area, attending concerts, hiking, and running. Bevin graduated from Simmons College with a BA in Communication.

As a Digital Advertising Specialist, John serves as a resource for campaign execution, client reporting, analytics implementation, department collateral development, and maintenance of special projects.
John graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Isenberg School of Management, with a degree in Sports Management. After graduation he joined Kraft Sports Group working in the front office of the New England Revolution where he focused on client relations, affinity sales, and development of new sales initiatives.
In 2015 John made the industry switch to digital marketing and joined Carnegie Communications. John enjoys working directly with higher education clients and increasing his knowledge of all facets of digital advertising.
Outside of work, John can be found spending time with his family, volunteering in the local youth basketball league, scouring the fantasy football waiver wire, or watching whatever sport is on TV.

Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Legal Studies from Quinnipiac University. She is a Massachusetts native, and in her free time, she loves listening to country music, spending time with her family and friends, cheering on the New England Patriots, and smothering her dog, Sadie, with affection.

Jake has a BA in Communications from Worcester State University. When he’s not in the office, Jake is active in his community, where he serves as a member of the Worcester Arts Council. He also enjoys riding his bike, playing basketball, and spending time with family and friends.
Production/Web Content Manager
A graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, Matt has worked in graphic design since 1996. He joined the Carnegie Production team in 2000 and currently works as Production/Web Content Manager, contributing to the design and layout of Private Colleges & Universities, Graduate Colleges & Universities, American Colleges & Universities, and Public Colleges & Universities magazines, as well as overseeing the creation and transmission of final files to the printer. He’s also contributed to projects like the Wintergreen Orchard House CAD books, created online ads for the digital services division, and has been known to write and illustrate the occasional blog post for CollegeXpress.com.
In his spare time, Matt pursues his love of cartooning and making comics on his website Gerbil With a Jetpack. He lives in New Hampshire with his wife, Cindy.
Senior Production Coordinator
Sue is the Senior Production Coordinator for Carnegie’s Production department, working with products such as Private Colleges & Universities, American Colleges & Universities, Graduate Colleges & Universities, and Public Colleges & Universities magazines. She has been with Carnegie since 2003. She currently manages the production of all PC&U reprints and e-comm articles. Sue is also the ad traffic coordinator for CollegeXpress magazine.
An avid ice skater, Sue is a former national competitor who now loves to teach the Learn to Skate class at her hometown rink. When not at the office or on the ice, you can find her being schooled in Minecraft by her two young sons and spending time with family.

Claire is the Assistant Editor at Carnegie Communications. She supports the editorial staff in the production of Carnegie's print and online publications, proofreading and editing content for Private Colleges & Universities and other magazines in addition to contributing to CollegeXpress.com. She also supports Carnegie's corporate marketing team through content and strategy.
Claire studied journalism at the University of Maine in Orono and loves to travel, go to concerts, and visit her little island in Maine.

As Senior Software Architect, Ollie works with the rest of the Carnegie tech team to design, develop, and maintain Carnegie's internal and public-facing systems. Ollie strives to develop reliable systems built on a foundation of clean code and automation. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA in English in 2001 and has been with Carnegie since 2004.
In his spare time, Ollie enjoys the company of his lovely wife and his two delightful children.

Lead Web Designer
Tyler’s first hands-on experience with HTML coding was in 1998 as a fourth grader, and he loved it. He was fascinated by his newfound ability to type a few lines of code and have a Web browser display his creation. Time has changed quite a bit since then, but his love for this technology has never wavered.
Tyler graduated from Champlain College, where he established a strong foundation of how to design and develop successful websites. His professional career began with a marketing firm in Bedford, New Hampshire, that specialized in banking websites. For a year he worked there enhancing his skills and building on his previous knowledge. Then he joined the Carnegie team, where his personal motto was born: Dream it, Design it, and Develop it. He is constantly dreaming up ways to make the Web a more fun and enjoyable experience for all.
If you can’t find him doodling behind his notepad or coding at his keyboard, he’s most likely out and about trying different foods, bowling, snowboarding, or catching up with his lady back on the home front.
Junior Frontend Designer
As a Junior Frontend Designer, Breanna is responsible for the design of banner ads, e-mail, various campaigns on social media, and landing pages for Carnegie and its clients using typography, layout, animation, and art direction. She works closely with the Lead Web Designer and Carnegie’s Digital team in order to execute creative ideas in a timely manner.
Breanna has a BS in Graphic Design with a minor in Studio Art from Assumption College. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, weekend trips, going to antique fairs, and dealing with her boyfriend’s latest TV show obsession.

Assistant Editor/Client Services
Meaghan joined Carnegie Communications in December of 2010 in the Wintergreen Orchard House division to help compile data, edit information for the College Admissions Data Sourcebooks (exclusively for the Western region), and handle client relations. Meaghan ensures each Sourcebook has accurate and up-to-date data for the four regions covered and that the production schedule stays on track for print in the fall. She also oversees the entry and timely shipment of each order and fields all feedback and product inquiries for clients.
When Meaghan isn’t in the office, she can be found boating on the Merrimack River, four-wheeling in the woods of New Hampshire, cooking and baking from the comforts of home, or just curled up on the couch catching up on the latest HGTV has to offer.
Assistant Editor and Data Researcher
Jessica joined Carnegie Communications in 2015 as an editor for Wintergreen Orchard House. She compiles, edits, and organizes data collected from thousands of colleges throughout the Southeast. Aside from her Wintergreen duties, Jessica serves as a support person for the team of regional directors, researching and cleaning up data.
In her free time, Jessica likes to run, spend time with friends and family, read, and shop.
Business Manager, Executive Assistant to the CEO
Kris joined Carnegie in 1998 as Joe Moore’s assistant. In her current position as Business Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO and President, Kris also serves as the Human Resources liaison, works closely in an administrative capacity with all departments as needed, and is the co-chair of Carnegie's Activities Committee, which means she leads the office in parties and fun!
When Kris isn’t spending time with her husband and college-student daughter, she can be found cheering on all Boston sports teams; pampering her little dogs, Lily and Lacey; trying new recipes; and catching up on the latest movies.
Office Operations Manager
Mary has been with Carnegie since 1999, supporting the different divisions in the Westford office as well as the outside staff. She handles all conference-related needs, magazine requests, schedules, updating Filemaker, and any other office necessities. In other words, Mary makes sure Carnegie runs smoothly.
Mary loves living in New England. (“I’m a Boston girl for life and can't imagine living anywhere else!”) She is well known in the office for her love of all Boston sports teams. As a lifelong, crazy, and loyal New England Patriots fan, Mary will let anyone know that football is serious business in the Giurleo house. Her other loves include reading, vegetable gardening, swimming, and, most importantly, her family. This includes four grandsons who can get her to do pretty much anything they want.

Kurt M. Thiede has worked in higher education administration for over 40 years. His senior management responsibilities have included strategic enrollment planning, student recruitment and admission, financial aid, marketing communications, student life, intercollegiate athletics, and alumni relations.
Viewing enrollment management within the context of the prospect-student-alumni lifecycle, Kurt employs strategies and tactics that establish relational pipelines to build and maintain quality and diverse enrollments at the institutions he has served on staff and as a consultant. He collaborates with an institution’s leadership to create and implement solutions that address needs and interests specific to their situation.
Kurt’s consultancy comprises two specialties: His general enrollment projects range from operation audits to building a marketing communications stream that supports recruitment efforts to identifying ways to fully utilize institutional scholarship funds. Kurt graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Interdisciplinary Philosophy from Barrington College (now Gordon College) and received an MEd in Higher Education Administration from the University of Vermont.
