Marketing Technologist | Analyst

Carnegie Communications is looking for a motivated full-time Marketing Technologist and Analyst to join the Digital Services division in our Westford, Massachusetts, office. We’re looking for someone to dive deep into our clients’ websites and marketing campaigns to help colleges and universities make more informed decisions related to their digital marketing campaigns and understanding their student journey. As a Marketing Technologist, you will be responsible for providing Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics training and troubleshooting for our higher education clients, as well as dashboard assistance via Data Studio and other reporting tools. This role would also support Carnegie’s in-house proprietary data insights tools in delivering that data to help schools understand their website traffic and maximize enrollment marketing ROI.

Responsibilities include:

  • Running point on Analytics needs, including Google Analytics account troubleshooting and reporting
  • Implementing Google Tag Manager, including tag and trigger setup
  • Google Analytics and GTM consulting and training on best practices to our clients
  • Supporting Carnegie’s internal Digital team for analytics training, troubleshooting, and client management
  • Devising appropriate and effective systems/approaches for data collection
  • Managing Carnegie’s internal proprietary software used for advanced tracking and website analytics
  • Reporting on large quantities of data and breaking them down in presentation format for our clients
  • Troubleshooting various CMS and CRM issues
  • Developing Analytics Dashboard using GA, Data Studio, Tableau, and/or other tools
  • Comfortably presenting demos, presentations, and/or workshops on analytics-related topics
  • Communicating to clients, team, and management on strategy/project development, timelines, and results
  • Monitoring and evaluating search results and performance across major search channels to improve rankings
  • Keeping pace with new marketing industry trends and latest developments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Web analytics, SEO, or digital analytics marketing role
  • Solid understanding of Google Analytics and/or Google Tag Manager and basic website information architecture
  • Familiarity with various CMSs and CRMs, including WordPress, Drupel, Salesforce, HubSpot, and more
  • Adobe Analytics experience desired but not required
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively and strategically and to identify and resolve problems
  • Self-starter, proactive learner, and positive attitude are musts!
  • Superb customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multitask in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills

Digital Marketing Analyst

Do you love where data and marketing intersect? Do you love Google Analytics and helping clients make data driven marketing decisions? If so, the Digital Marketing Analyst role at Carnegie Communications in Westford, MA could be the job for you.

In this role, you’ll report directly to the AVP, Digital Client services and support the execution, measurement and reporting for several digital marketing efforts and analytics consulting engagements for our higher education based clients.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, curious, and forward-thinking team player with the ability to turn data into insightful stories. By working with multiple internal teams in a fast-paced digital advertising agency environment, you will be able to have a large impact on the success, measurement and storytelling that is a result of the amazing PPC, SEO and Social Media campaigns we run for hundreds of colleges and universities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the setup and testing of KPIs and Conversions points for our Digital Paid and SEO campaigns in the platforms and within Google Analytics
  • Manage client dashboard reporting needs to support well thought-out insights and analyses
  • Prioritize ad-hoc data requests and troubleshooting for our internal team members like Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics Tag, and platform Conversion pixel issues or reporting glitches.
  • Collaborate on client measurement plans including KPIs and benchmarks
  • Partake in on-going implementation of website and landing page optimizations
  • Present key findings and marketing deliverables to both internal and external clients
  • Assist stakeholders within the institution with how to leverage tools like Google Analytics, Data Studio and more, in order for them to make website and marketing decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and best practices

Requirements

  • At least 2-4 years of work experience in digital marketing/media and analytics
  • Ability to conduct critical analysis and identify key insights
  • Solid Presentation Skills and a joy for teaching others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets is a must
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with Google AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn platforms a plus
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Google Data Studio or Acquisio
  • An understanding of website user experience, and heatmapping tools like Crazy Egg, are a plus

Content Marketer

Do you love writing? Do misspellings, bad sentence structure, and the lack of an Oxford comma drive you nuts? Then you may be the type of person we’re looking for. Carnegie Communications is in search of someone who can write well, communicate effectively, and get creative. The Content Marketer will work as part of our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) group under our Inbound Marketing team, which is part of our bigger Digital Marketing division. As content becomes a bigger and bigger part of SEO, we need a Content Marketer who knows how (or is ready to learn) to perform keyword research and write for search engine visibility. Not only that, but they must also measure the effectiveness of that content and think strategically about where improvements can be made.

Beyond writing, we’re looking for someone who can manage projects, isn’t afraid to talk to clients, and has a passion for education, because at Carnegie our clients are all colleges and universities! On the Inbound Marketing team, our work focuses on schools’ websites—from analyzing backend technical issues, to creating content, to making sure it’s optimized for conversions and collecting analytics data properly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing and editing content for college and university websites

Senior Digital Marketing Specialist (PPC/Social)

Carnegie Communications is looking for a motivated full-time Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Digital Services division. This position is located in our Westford, Massachusetts office.

As a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the creation, successful implementation, and ongoing optimization of digital display, PPC and social media campaign activities for our education clients. Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Operations and Strategy, you will work closely with our entire Digital Marketing Team to execute daily management of strategies, which could include paid search, display, Retargeting, IP Targeting, and pre-roll, as well as various campaigns on social media. You will also research quotes for client estimates, develop proposals, pull reporting and billing, and provide assistance with Google Analytics and executive summaries and other client reporting as needed by the Digital Team. You will play a vital role in supporting a digital advertising team that prides itself on developing innovative strategies for our higher education clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of demonstrable success in digital advertising campaign management (or relevant experience)
  • 5+ years experience managing digital campaigns and working with clients

Account Manager, Digital Marketing

The Account Manager is the operational (non-sales role) link between our education clients and the entire Carnegie Communications Digital team (Paid Search Marketing, Social Media, Google Display Network, etc.). Along with their team, the Account Manager acts as both an advocate for the client and as a representative for Carnegie.

 Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with, and acting as the link between, the client and Carnegie and ensuring that ongoing communication flows effectively
  • Managing/coordinating client projects; may take an active role in planning to completion
  • Driving the ongoing workflow and interdepartmental team communication 
  • Becoming an expert on the client’s institution by having a full understanding of their goals and objectives, audience, competitors, and position in the marketplace
  • Ensuring clients get maximum value from Carnegie’s products and services
  • Managing, reviewing progress and delivering the client’s campaign results for selected accounts
  • Setting up and managing smaller campaigns and acting as the primary contact for those accounts
  • Successfully defining, monitoring, and reporting project budgets
  • Detecting relationship risks, and developing solutions for both internal and external teams with a goal of maintaining account satisfaction
  • Assisting in creative development for new and existing campaigns, including: creative requests, appropriate proofing, internal and client routing, gathering approval and pushing through to outside vendor production 
  • Final review and quality control of client deliverables and responsible for troubleshooting problems as needed
  • Initial on-boarding and launch of new client campaigns

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and proven relationship-building skills

Director of Digital Strategy

As Director of Digital Strategy, you will work with and lead a digital team to help define scope and recommendations for our higher education clients’ digital campaigns. Digital tactics include Paid Search, Social Media, Retargeting, Display Campaigns, Video Pre-roll, and IP and Device Targeting. Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Operations and Strategy, you will play an advisory role on client engagements, serving as a digital strategy advisor to the Senior Digital Advertising Specialist as well as the client. You will serve as thought leader in aligning digital marketing strategy with a client’s business goals and objectives and drive high-level discussions to make strategy recommendations based on the identified client goals. Responsibilities:

  • Architect digital strategies driven by our clients’ business marketing goals and objectives
  • Identify digital opportunities and map out the inputs needed to develop an effective digital marketing and tactical strategy

  • Play a key role to strengthen and expand business with current clients and help build digital relationships with new clients
