Senior Digital Marketing Specialist (PPC/Social)

Carnegie Communications is looking for a motivated full-time Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Digital Services division. This position is located in our Westford, Massachusetts office.

As a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the creation, successful implementation, and ongoing optimization of digital display, PPC and social media campaign activities for our education clients. Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Operations and Strategy, you will work closely with our entire Digital Marketing Team to execute daily management of strategies, which could include paid search, display, Retargeting, IP Targeting, and pre-roll, as well as various campaigns on social media. You will also research quotes for client estimates, develop proposals, pull reporting and billing, and provide assistance with Google Analytics and executive summaries and other client reporting as needed by the Digital Team. You will play a vital role in supporting a digital advertising team that prides itself on developing innovative strategies for our higher education clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of demonstrable success in digital advertising campaign management (or relevant experience)
  • 5+ years experience managing digital campaigns and working with clients
  • 5+ years experience using Google AdWords, Bing, and Yahoo
  • 5+ years experience using social media campaign management platform(s)
  • Hands-on operation of ad serving and management of ongoing campaigns
  • Experience with implementation of ad tags, third-party management tools, and publisher UIs
  • Detail oriented
  • Interest in new technologies and the desire to expand skill set
  • Energy and enthusiasm for the success of our clients
  • Solid data analysis experience
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Acquisio or other reporting software a plus
  • Supervision or management of team

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple client display, PPC, and social media advertising campaigns
  • Assist with campaign strategy development, including proposal development
  • Meet with clients to determine their search marketing objectives and goals, for PPC, Display, Retargeting and Social Advertising campaigns.
  • Optimize, research, reporting and billing for campaigns on a regular basis
  • Provide analysis for campaigns from Google Analytics
  • Work on special projects as needed to support the digital team

Account Manager, Digital Marketing

The account manager is the link between our client’s and the entire Carnegie Communications Digital team. Along with their team, the account manager acts as both an advocate for the client and as a representative for Carnegie.

 Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with, and acting as the link between, the client and Carnegie and ensuring that ongoing communication flows effectively
  • Manages/coordinates Client projects and may take an active role in planning to completion
  • Drive the ongoing workflow and interdepartmental team communication 
  • Become an expert on the client’s institution by having a full understanding of their goals and objectives, audience, competitors, and position in the marketplace
  • Responsible for ensuring clients get maximum value from Carnegie’s products and services
  • Managing, reviewing progress and delivering the client’s campaign results for selected accounts
  • Responsible to set up and manage smaller campaigns and act as the primary contact for those accounts
  • Successfully define, monitor, and report project budgets
  • Detect relationship risks, and develop solutions for both internal and external teams with a goal of maintaining account satisfaction
  • Assist in creative development for new and existing campaigns, including: creative requests, appropriate proofing, internal and client routing, gathering approval and pushing through to outside vendor production 
  • Responsible for final review and quality control of client deliverables and responsible for troubleshooting problems, as needed
  • Responsible for the initial on-boarding and launch of new client campaigns
  • Ensuring that the Digital team meets deadlines and launches campaigns on time and meets the defined strategy and goals of the client 
  • Continue to build and maintain relationships with Carnegie’s partners and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing or advertising
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience and proven relationship building skills
  • Ability to nurture and retain client and employee relationships
  • Solid understanding of various digital marketing tactics including paid search, display media, paid social, SEO, mobile, and analytics  and attribution
  • Working with clients to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategically executing to meet those goals
  • Ability and desire to own customer relationships and success, lead teams, share knowledge and mentor colleagues
  • Knowledge and interest in the higher education space is a plus
  • Prior client management experience a plus

Director of Digital Strategy

As Director of Digital Strategy, you will work with and lead a digital team to help define scope and recommendations for our higher education clients’ digital campaigns. Digital tactics include Paid Search, Social Media, Retargeting, Display Campaigns, Video Pre-roll, and IP and Device Targeting. Reporting to the Vice President, Digital Operations and Strategy, you will play an advisory role on client engagements, serving as a digital strategy advisor to the Senior Digital Advertising Specialist as well as the client. You will serve as thought leader in aligning digital marketing strategy with a client’s business goals and objectives and drive high-level discussions to make strategy recommendations based on the identified client goals. The candidate will thrive on a rapidly growing team and enjoys a fast-paced environment, valuing teamwork and shared success.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect digital strategies driven by our clients’ business marketing goals and objectives
  • Identify digital opportunities and map out the inputs needed to develop an effective digital marketing and tactical strategy
  • Work collaboratively with the Account Managers to manage client relationships as related to paid search strategy, team, and performance
  • Play a key role to strengthen and expand business with current clients and help build digital relationships with new clients
  • Perform research, analyze data, and develop key insights and action plans based on campaign results and provide recommendations for budgetary adjustments
  • Oversee and ensure that ongoing account maintenance/optimization activities are consistent with the goals of the campaign
  • Ensure that all client reporting properly communicates the goals of the campaign and effectively positions key takeaways, recommendations, and next steps
  • Drive adoption of standards, supporting digital best practices and key digital metrics
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new digital staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing or advertising
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a Search Marketing Manager preferred
  • Strong managerial experience, including experience developing and mentoring a team
  • Ability to nurture and retain client and employee relationships
  • Deep understanding of how Paid Search/SEM interacts with Display Media, Paid Social, SEO, Mobile, Social, and Attribution

  • Keyword research (discovery and expansion), review and editing of ad creative/copy, review and analysis of website performance metrics, and optimization of campaigns
  • Data compilation and creation of detailed campaign monthly performance and trend reports with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Create, coordinate, and QA all aspects of client tracking codes on site
  • Assist with campaign strategy development, including proposal development
  • Provide analysis for campaigns from Google Analytics
