Joshua LaFave is the Executive Director of the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education at the State University of New York at Potsdam in Potsdam, New York. His experience for the past 11 years has included a comprehensive canvas of Enrollment Management functions, from enrollment planning, marketing, and recruitment, and admissions to student services, retention, advising/coaching, and career planning. In his current role, he is responsible for all elements of the graduate student life cycle, as well as the College’s special sessions, early college programs, non-credit offerings, and conferences/special programs. His research on Graduate Enrollment Management includes the adoption of the integrated interdependence model in GEM, working definitions, the four “O’s” of student services, and holistic strategic enrollment management planning. Josh’s research interests include the continued development of Graduate Enrollment Management as it relates to the integration of various functions in GEM, and the synchronization of those areas as it relates to strategy, operational efficiencies, and the differentiated student experience.

With expertise in traditional, digital, and social media marketing and experience designing integrated campaigns for a small private college and a large public university, Eric strives to help clients identify opportunities that will solve problems and produce results.

Eric has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin—River Falls and a master's degree in organizational leadership from St. Ambrose University. He lives in North Liberty, Iowa, with his wife, Molly, and their two small children and spends his spare time shuttling his kids to activities, cooking homemade pizza, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers.
